Thread: "Wet" Install For GH3 Faceplate

Hi I just got your skin in the mail and have looked through our help documentation for install tips. You've mentioned face up and down install methods and that the "wet" method could damage the iPod. But what about the GH3 faceplate on it's own? It's just plastic.

My question is, would a slight water/soap mix destroy the adhesive of the sticker or would it help in positioning it much like when installing window tint? Is it just better to avoid a "wet" theory all together? I'm excited about getting the thing on.

It's best not to use any solvent based agents to clean the device before the application as any residue left over from these solvents may have undesirable reactions with the adhesive of the Skin. The solvent may render the adhesive ineffective and cause the Skin to peel. The use of a soft cloth to clean the surface will achieve the best effect.
