Thread: Removal of iSkin

Having purchased several skins for my iPod video, I'm now trying to remove one and change to another...and am not having any luck! I'm left with grey goop all over both sides of my iPod. Any suggestions on how to get it off????

We've never experienced "gray goops" left on the device after the removal of the Skin. The very worst that we've seen was after we've left a particular Skin on an iPod for something like 5 or 6 months and when we removed it, a few tiny white specks were left. These specks were tiny bits adhesive that broke off from the original backing, were visible only under close inspection and were easily removed with a fingernail.

The cast vinyl itself, beneath the artwork and the laminate, is indeed gray. Did you remove the Skin completely or are these "goops" parts of the Skin that somehow completely broke off from the original piece? Are you able to lift up these gray bits and peel them off?
