Thread: Clear plastic peeling up from skin

Hi,

I got my first skin from iStyles yesterday and put it on my shiny new ipod video this morning. During the install process what looks like clear plastic started peeling up from the backside. I didn't treat it roughly, the skins are super easy to put on (a major plus that almost had me coming here to buy a few more), however I'm concerned that I've had this for less than 24 hours (more like 1 hour) and it's already less than perfect. I've added a crappy cellphone photo of the skin, if you look in the red circle you can see a dark ridge (kind of in the middle of the circle), thats the edge of the plastic that has peeled up. Hi drpottex, I've also sent a copy of the following message in response to your e-mail.

Our skins are printed on cast vinyl and then laminated with a clear laminate to protect the artwork, extend further the life of the skin and to give the product a high quality glossy look. What you've experienced is the separation of the laminate from the skin and this can happen if the skin is peeled off wrongly.

We are unfortunately not able to replace a product under such circumstances because of the product is classified as "user damaged". What we can do however, given the circumstance, is to give you a discount coupon for your next purchase so that you can get another (or more) replacements at a much lower cost.
