I understand that the skins are technically not reusable, any forms of skins which are reusable then? or do we have to stick to 1 skin permanently?
is it possible to have the skins put on top of one another? in a 'overlapped' manner?

The Skins can be reused in some cases but in general, it's very difficult to remove the Skin without damaging the Skin. The iPod will not be damaged whatsoever in either case. This holds true for all the Skins we sell as they're all made using the same (costly) cast vinyl material.
What many customers do is to leave the Skin on their device until they're really tired of it, after which, they'll just switch it for another design. If the Skin is left on the device, it will outlast the life of the device as the materials are rated to last 5 to 8 years.
It is possible to overlap Skins if you wish, but only on some devices. For example, the iPod Video Skins cover the front and the back and they can thus be overlapped, but the iPod nano 2nd Gen Skins wrap around the nano and if more Skins are layered on each other, the outer Skin will not fit well.
We will however advice against layering Skins anyway. Though we have not tried it, we suspect that the removal of the outer Skin may (or may not) damage the laminate of the layer below.
