    Smile Skin Coverages

    Hello,
I just bought my 30GB iPod Video last Saturday and I love it. The case I bought (Which was $20), for a lack of words, sucks. I hate it. It's horrible. I can't believe I spent my money on it. Unfortunately I do not have the packaging anymore to return it. My siblings tore it up. *sigh*

I've been looking through the iStyles iPod video skins and there is one in particular that I would really love to have. I also love the fact that they don't add any bulk to the iPod itself. That is something I was wanting because with my current case, my pocket gets pretty bulky when I have it in there.

I do, however, really want to protect my iPod to the most extreme in case I ever want to sell it when a new generation of iPods come out. So I am just wondering how well the skins cover the iPod.

I've noticed on the product description that the picture only shows the front and back covered. Does the skins cover the sides, bottom, and top of the iPod also?

I think it would look awfully funny anyway if the skin just covered the back and the front and having the silver/metal sides showing Maybe if I could just get actual photo's of the skin on the iPod from different angles that might help. I'm not sure.

If I do buy a skin from here I will be buying the screen protector along with it. Which, is another thing I'm worried about. If I apply the protector over the screen am I going to get air bubbles?

Thanks for taking the time to read this query. I am looking forward to your reply!

    Re: Skin Coverages

Hi dren, if you're looking for good protection for your iPod Video, I would recommend the purchase of one of our Silicone cases instead at iStyles > What rocks you? > iPod Video (5th Gen iPod) > iPod Video Silicone Cases - iPod, PSP & DS Fashion Accessories . These cases provide much better coverage and protection using a special smooth silicone material but they will add a slight bulk to your iPod. Our iPod Video silicone cases include the silicon screen protector within the same package.

The Skins on the other hand do not add any bulk and are available in a wide variety of designs but the protection is limited. The iPod Video skins only cover the front and the back of the iPod Video as these are the parts that come into contact with surfaces more frequently (eg, the table). The sides are exposed but skins are the only form of protection that will not add any bulk. In any case, if you want good protection, you should go for a silicone case.

You might also want to consider our latest collection of sleeves at iStyles > What's Hot? > 2007 iStyles Sleeve Collection - iPod, PSP & DS Fashion Accessories . These sleeves protect and style in a different way and can be used in conjunction with a skin.

As to whether bubbles will appear on the screen depends on the application technique but we do include a free application card with each silicon screen protector that you can use to push out bubbles should any get trapped.
