Thread: Disappointed - Problem with Ipod Sleeve

I did not have time to write about this until now, but I thought it should be make known for the sake of other buyers.

In my last order (June 4th) I ordered a iStyles Sleeve for my iPod, and according to the info provide on the page, it will fit a 4th Gen Ipod 40GB model. But upon receiving it, I found that it does not fit my Ipod at all. The fit is too tight, so I can only get the Ipod halfway in and that was after alot of struggle.

I feel kind of deceived if not for the info provide (that it will fit a 40GB 4th Gen Ipod) I would not have bought it. Now I got a white elephant lying around in my room. A waste of money. I am sure that when I ordered it back then, there was no mention of the tight fitting of the 4th Gen Ipods. (I saw the complain made by another buyer, that is why the wordings were included now?) Anyway, a tight-fit disclaimer is not reflective of the situation, it DOES NOT FIT a 4TH Gen Ipod.

I'm sorry to hear that the sleeve did not fit your 40GB 4th Gen iPod. Your situation is identical to the one faced by the customer at http://forum.istyles.com/product-sup...t-4g-ipod.html and the problem mainly affects the Princess Sparkle design because this material is much less forgiving compared to some of the other materials.

The fitting will be tight for 4th Gen 40GB/60GB iPod because that's the largest iPod of the range of devices the sleeve was designed for and most users typically use these sleeves for the iPod Video or the iPhone. As the sleeves are handmade, there might be slight variations which may have hindered the fitting as was the case with Jay.

The princess sparkle material is beautiful but it's just unfortunately more stiff compared to the other materials. We did a sample testing for the case and the cases that we tested did fit the 40GB 4th Gen iPod, such as the one shown in the picture in the other thread. We'll evaluate the situation further and may remove the "40GB 4th Gen iPod" listing from the princess sparkle design.

The sleeve can be used for other devices as well, such as mobile phones or even to hold earphones, but if you do not want the case anymore, please return it back to us at the following address for a refund.
