Our products are made in the USA and ship freshly made directly from the production facility - this is how we can offer such a large collection of designs with support for so many devices. We do not believe that there's anything similar or at the same quality level in the EU.
Import customs charge is effectively "VAT" and is already factored into the pricing of any other product that you purchase within Germany. Products that are sold on our web store do not include this charge - we only bill for the cost of the product and the shipping cost. VAT is for the "consumption of goods and services within a country" and is levied by the customs office of some (but not all) countries when the package is imported. It looks like they tagged on some administrative charge or there's a minimum customs charge amount per package in Germany as they billed you 9 euros for an item that cost only 13.50 euros. We suspect that if you have multiple Kindle Skins in the same package, it may still cost the same 9 euros at the customs.
We bill shipping at its cost price and our shipping quote is subsidised for multi-product orders. For example, it cost about 14.50 euros to ship one Kindle Skin to an international destination. You'll still pay only 14.50 euros to ship 10 Kindle Skins to the same destination (even though it'll cost us more to ship). Given the costly international postal charges, it'll be more worth it to ship multiple items in the same order rather than a single one. If you only need one item, one way to save will be to make a consolidated purchase with friends/family and share out the ship cost.
It may be possible for the import charge to be much less if paid for online. For example in France, if the import charge is paid online before the package arrives, the total cost is about half (~6 euros) of what the postman charges (~12+ euros) if he collects payment at the time of delivery instead.

iStyles/5USPS delivered the skin and it is now installed (perfectly😂) on my Apple Magic Keyboard case. The print is, as I hoped, vibrant and a definite statement. Had no problems installing the skin and it fit the intended spaces perfectly. This skin replaced an older one I’ve used for quite a while and I noticed that one of the advantages of a skin is how clean the areas were, where a skin was installed. I've ordered here for many years, for many different devices and the quality is always very good and the customer service is great.
I only wish that they had an European distribution center. Due to import costs, the price is very high.

Merci pour l'avis. Nous sommes ravis d'apprendre que vous aimez suffisamment l'EXO-II DJI Mini 2 Skin pour lui attribuer 5 étoiles malgré la TVA à l'importation facturée en France.
Nous sommes désolés d'apprendre les frais de 12 euros facturés par La Poste et les douanes françaises. Cette taxe était gonflée car elle était perçue par le facteur lors de la livraison du colis. Si vous effectuez le paiement de ces importations en ligne avant que votre facteur ne livre le colis, vos frais seront nettement inférieurs (environ 5 ou 6 euros).
Les produits vendus sur notre boutique en ligne n'incluent pas la TVA de l'UE ; nous ne facturons que le coût du produit et les frais d'expédition. La TVA correspond à la "consommation de biens et services dans un pays" et est prélevée par le bureau de douane du pays lors de l'importation du colis.
La TVA pour votre commande est d'environ trois euros, et si vous payez en ligne, La Poste ajoute des frais "administratifs" de 2 euros, soit un total de 5 euros. Si vous ne payez le facteur qu'au moment de la livraison, ils ajoutent beaucoup plus de frais administratifs et vous vous retrouvez avec des frais de plus de 10 euros.
Lors de l'import d'un colis, il est important de vérifier sur https://www.laposte.fr/outils/suivre-vos-envois pour savoir quand la douane française a traité le colis, puis de finaliser le paiement des frais sur https:// www.laposte.fr/frais-droits-douane avant qu'ils ne livrent le colis afin d'éviter leurs frais administratifs gonflés.
