COMPLETE SHIT. No way to get the front skin on the tablet without screwing it up. I am a patient person and have installed MANY screen protectors as I am in Tech business. This is just impossible to get on the device.

They should know better than to sell a skin like this that is impossible to get on the outline of a tablet without stretching and tearing.

DO NOT WASTE your money.

iStyles responded:

We're sorry to hear that you stretched the Skin. The Skins are sturdy and will last for years if applied properly but they can stretch if pulled hard and they're especially vulnerable at the thinner stripes such as those around the screen frame.

One way to prevent stretching is simply not to press the Skin down until you are happy with the alignment (this way, it's easier to peel off), and when peeling off, take extra care and do so slowly.

We can send you a replacement and you just have to cover the shipping cost to get the new Skin to you. If you would like to proceed with the shipment of this free replacement Skin, reply to the email that we just sent to you and we'll get it set up.

When I received the case it was clear it wasn't made well. The pattern on the case did not cover the edges around the face of the phone and you could clearly see the white plastic. Figured I could live with that anyway. It took all of 3 days for the case to be broken near the corner with the volume buttons and it wouldn't stay on the phone so in the trash it went. The skins are great but I would never try one of these cases again. Waste of money.

iStyles responded:

Thank you for the feedback. We're sorry to hear that you did not like the case. I've passed your feedback on to the product team so that they can determine what happened.

In the meantime, we've processed a full refund for your case order. We're glad that you like the Skins from your previous order.

I was very disappointed when the package arrived. I had spent 2 weeks talking with a customer service rep. Thinking I was ordering controllers. They arrive and it is decals. This was for my husband and I feel aweful now.....

iStyles responded:

We're sorry to hear that the Skins were not what you expected. The "Custom PlayStation 3 Controller Skins" that you ordered were Skins for the PS3 Controller.

When we communicated 2 weeks back, we were under the impression that you understood that these were Skins and assisted you with your customization (remember, we created the graphics for you at no charge). If we knew that you thought these were controllers, we would have clarified the information.

These Skins will fit the existing PS3 controllers that your husband has. He should have at least one controller - if necessary, just purchase the 2nd controller and your "His" and "Hers" controller Skin designs will fit both perfectly.

Very very very bad !!! Not reseved my stickers and refused to returen my money ! Take care and dont spend you money go to gelaskins it is better

iStyles responded:

The zip code in your address was incomplete and this is probably the reason why your package has not arrived yet.

As per our correspondence, we offered to reship your package, which you did not accept, and we can only process a refund for the products returned when this package delivery fails and gets "returned to sender".

What a amazed these faked reacts posted on this bad website. It' been 3 weeks now from us to canada, which I never experienced delay from any sellers and I am still waiting. I recommend you using gelaskin, vinylskin or tens of them out there. I fought for slow and low quality service against this seller more than 1 month now got exhausted. Please don't waste your time and money.

iStyles responded:

We're sorry that your experience did not meet your expectation. We understand that you were upset that your order has not arrived yet in your email on 7 November but it was just 1+ week at that time. While many international deliveries happen within 1+ week, especially so for USA to Canada shipments, it can take longer depending on how the postal services handle the mail.

Your order was received on Friday 25 October and shipped on Monday 28 October. The postal mail shipping method that you selected has a stated '6 to 11 business days estimated' shipping time and this very much depends on how USPS and Canada Post handles the mail.

We will be at the 2 week mark tomorrow (11 November) - not 3 weeks or 1 month - and though the postal service is not early, they are not exceedingly late either such that we should be worried because it is still within the estimated shipping time.

As long as your delivery address is correct, precisely, it should be all right and the package is on its way. Try checking with the post office that services your area too (quote package id LN823204587US) - your package will be relatively large because it contains a Galaxy Note 8 Skin and it is possible that your postman attempted a delivery, could not fit the package into your mailbox and 'forgot' (it happens) to leave the collection slip. Your package may be awaiting your collection, but if it is not, please give them more time. It is on its way!

Purchased skin's for wireless beats and when taking the skins off the paper to place on the beats headphones? they tore and stretched beyond using. Not happy with this product in the least.

iStyles responded:

We're sorry to hear that your Baseball Beats Solo 2 Wireless Skin was stretched during the Skin removal.

Our Skins are made of premium grade adhesive-backed cast vinyl, then sealed with a matte or gloss laminate for long-lasting protection. Cast vinyl is of notably higher quality and cost roughly 2.5 times as much as the usual calendared vinyl used elsewhere. Unlike calendared vinyl, cast vinyl does not discolour, is much less prone to shrinkage over time, much thinner, and can conform easily to just about any curve.

Cast vinyl is sturdy and will generally outlast the lifespan of the device but the material can stretch if pulled hard and this was probably what happened when you removed the Skin. We're not sure how you tore the Skin as that will require a fair amount of force - Skins have to be peeled off gently and then pasted on carefully. These are not exactly the rip off and slap on type. Care must be taken during the application process and the result will be well worth the effort.

We can make a replacement Baseball Beats Solo 2 Wireless Skin for you at no charge so that you can give it another go, and you just have to cover the shipping cost to get the new package to you. We've sent you an email regarding this replacement Skin.

Bought a carbon fiber skin for my macbook pro 13 retina without cutout for the top logo. Ordered outer and inner skins. Expected there would be a bottom, but since it's not pictured I should have known better. Fit on the top is not good. I was able to center it on the top fine, but there is absolutely no way to get it on the top without leaving a very small border around all four edges. It's simply just a mm or two too small in all directions. Also even though the skin covers the logo, the skin is not fully opaque and the logo glows through it. It looks very bad. I ripped it off and trashed it. $42.00 in the trash. not pleased. I won't make the mistake of ordering from here again.

iStyles responded:

Thank you for the feedback. We're sorry to hear that you had a bad experience with the Skin. We'll try to address your concerns as follows:

1) The "Outer" MacBook Skin does not cover the bottom because it is important to allow the device to "breath" during normal operation. This bottom area gets hot and the unibody acts as a heat sink - if it is covered, the heat will not be able to dissipate properly. The description states coverage for the top for the outer Skin and the area around the keyboard and trackpad for the inner Skin. We recommend using a Skin for styling and protection of the scratchable unibody during normal operation and when transporting the MacBook, put it in a padded sleeve or bag.

2) The Skin is opaque but the MacBook logo glow will be visible softly in very dim light conditions. Most customers like this effect and this is only visible in dim lighting. (the logo can be cut out for full visibility)

3) The top Skin will fit. If it's just an mm off on yours (out of the huge surface area on the lid Skin), it means that the Skin can be better stretched into place during the application process.

customer support wont respond for cancellation.

iStyles responded:

Your cancellation was processed and we replied to your email within 4+ hours. We wish we can reply via email within minutes like we sometimes do but it usually takes a few hours (but isn't this really fast? Some companies take more than a day, or days!).

Skin hard to apply and messed up my screen protector. After contacting the representative. They told me refund can only be given if the product is un-open. How am I going to know if the skin will work, without trying it on. Do not suggest buy. The skin does not cover the whole phone and it does not look as good in the picture. Very easy to be stretched out of shape.

iStyles responded:

We're sorry to hear that you had problems with the application but a refund is only possible if you return the product unused.

The Skins are sturdy and can last for years, but a degree of care must be taken during the application process because it can stretch if it's pulled hard, especially so at the thiner stripes such as those around the screen frame. Skins have a special weaved adhesive that allows for easy repositioning (can be realigned multiple times during application) and subsequently goo free removal. A steady hand will still be necessary if you want the Skin aligned perfectly. The result will be well worth the effort. We're guessing that your problems were linked to the screen protector; the Skin is adhesive in nature - if you stick it on the screen protector and peel off, it will naturally pull the protector with it. The trick in such cases will be to align properly one half of the front (maybe the bottom half), press down when you're absolutely certain (and do not peel it off anymore), and pull up, align the top half and press down. The sides will naturally fall into place as the Skin was cut to fit perfectly.

The Skin covers the front and back of the device as per the description on the product page. Skins are not meant to be comprehensive protectors that cover every surface - they were designed to cover the surfaces that matter, to style devices in ways that cases cannot achieve, and it does so without adding any bulk to the device. Skins will also work with any 3rd party case if you require more comprehensive coverage.

We're sorry that you had a bad experience but in all fairness, we cannot process a refund simply because you are not happy as you've used and damaged the product.

I purchased skins for a X Box 360, X Box Connect, Wii, Wii Controllers and Controllers for the X Box. All of these were "Satin Black" so as to cover the original "white plastic" that they were made from. I simply wanted to "hide" them in my audio cabinet. Now I have BLACK AND WHITE system items behind the glass. They did not cover the entire item, thus leaving white to show. A "skin" covers, it does not "patch" in spots. The cutouts for sensors are too large as well. Not worth it!

I bought the Art Nouveau iPhone 4S case. I was dissatisfied with the product, but it turns out that it was defective and not representative of the quality of their cases. I was issued a full refund, and I am very happy with how the service team handled that.

iStyles responded:

The case you received was defective and is not representative of the product. The Art Nouveau cases are extremely popular, we've sold many of them and never had any problem with the product, until now - we're really sorry that this happened to your case.

Thank you for your understanding - we're glad that everything was sorted out. Please feel free to contact us should you have further queries.

Dear sirs

I The customer am not at all happy with the order of a sony ericsson skin which after 2 attempts was still wrong and didn't fit the phone I am not only out of pocket twice and have no phone skin Very poor result and I won't be ordering from Istyles again.

Unhappy Eric.

iStyles responded:

We're sorry to hear that the new Skin did not fit. Your first order 129194 was for a "Xperia X10" Skin but that did not fit your "Xperia X10 mini" as the "mini" is slightly different. Your second order 129559 was for the correct "Xperia X10 mini" Skin but if it did not fit, it means that you are not using a Xperia X10 mini, your device is some other variant, or the warehouse sent you the wrong Skin.

Was "Xperia X10 mini" printed on the new Skin? Was this Skin different from the original "Xperia X10" Skin that you received or are the two Skins identical?

Can you send us photos of your device, photos of the label in your phone that shows the model number and photos of both Skins? Photos can be sent to [email protected] . If this was caused by a mistake at the warehouse, we will get the proper Skin reshipped to you at no additional cost. If you have a different device, we can help you to determine the model of your device.

Poor, the thing did not even fit my machine. I ordered a ps3 cover and it was like out of shape and unproportional. like... if the machines dimensions are 10in x 13in. the cover they sent me was like 9in x 15in, so the cover did not cover all of one dimension but hung over another... this is really frustrating because it is not like I can put the sticker back on its film and send it back… Not even the portion of the cover that was suppose to crop around the (on/off/eject) buttons were the right size and or shape... both off the buttons on my machine are circles and the cut out in the cover they sent me that was suppose to go over the eject shaped like an arrow… i guess this is a learning experiance. fool me once.

iStyles responded:

Mark, we're sorry to hear about the fitting problem but based on your description, you've ordered a Skin for the wrong PS3 in your order 130142.

You should have gone for this Skin instead of what you ordered.

Have you used the Skin yet? If you have not, can you contact us at [email protected] so that we can assist you with the return of the product?

Great options, but a little difficualt to put on. I am not sure I will stick with it.

Even mor unhappy now that I have begun the return process. Found the person handeling my retun questions rude and unhelpful. Furthermore, their reply to my post does not adddress any of my inital comments other than to say I was wrong. I did find it hard to put on and am vastly unimpressed. Which is too bad becasue a friend and verizonn sales rep recommended this company. I will be sure to tell her not to refer any more business to them.

iStyles responded:

The Skins are easy apply as there is technology within to allow for easy application (thanks to the special weaved adhesive): bubbles can be simply smoothed out with a finger, the Skin can be repositioned multiple times during the application process and it can be removed without leaving any goo when you are finally done with it.

A steady hand will still be necessary if you want to align the Skin perfectly with your device but you can reposition the Skin multiple times (carefully) until you get there. More Skin application tips are available at http://istyl.es/SkinApplication

We take pride in our customer service, are concerned about what you described as 'rude and unhelpful' and studied the correspondence you had with our rep to find out what went wrong.

You said that the Skin was too large for your "Galaxy Tab" and he helped to determine the model you have. He explained that there are different Galaxy Tabs in the market, the 'Samsung GALAXY Tab 10.1 Skin' you ordered will not fit your Galaxy Tab 7.0" SCH-1800 and we do not have Skins for your Galaxy Tab model. We are sorry if you found this to be rude but the fact is that you did order the wrong Skin and the way it was put across was as gently as it could be.

You wanted to "exchange" your Skin for one with the "proper size" and this is not something that can be done as we do not have Skins for your specific Galaxy Tab SCH-1800. We wish we could be more helpful but the only course of action will be to return the product for a refund - the RMA and return instructions were sent to you via email.

We are very sorry that this episode resulted in your dissatisfaction with us. We do our very best to keep our customers happy and are as disappointed as you are that things turned out this way. As a token of goodwill, we have processed a full refund for your order. We hope that this satisfies your concern.

I received my product in a reasonable time, but unfortunately I am very disappointed in this product. It looks cheap and tacky. Would recommend people don't waste there money on this product. I asked for a refund, non given!

iStyles responded:

We're glad to hear that the international shipment to you was quick but we're sorry to hear that you were not happy with the product. Skins are not cases as you expected. We would typically be glad to accept it for a product return as per our refund policy but we were not able to do so as you have already used the product.

I am completely disgusted by the lack of clothing this woman is wearing! how sexist is that? And it makes all women look like figures who love to wear nothing but a very very small top and boots to match. Any company selling this horrid item should be ashamed, I am very disappointed with iStyles.com.

iStyles responded:

We aim to sell a wide variety of designs to cater to demands from different demographic groups. All of the graphics are absolutely not offensive but we will continue to evaluate any complaint that we receive.

Your interpretation of the graphic is very interesting but this particular design is a fantasy character that I'm sure some of our younger gaming male audiences may relate to (aka, female super hero in game?). It was meant to be a "fantasy ghost" living in the device, a completely frictional character, makes no reference to real woman and by no means pejorative to women in any way as it is just a fantasy character. It's a computer graphic and "she" is clothed.

I messed this up

I thought it was the actual guitar so i was surprised when it was only the decal

iStyles responded:

Sorry to hear that. The Play Dead Guitar Hero II XBox 360 X-plorer Controller Skin that you purchased is a Skin for the Guitar Hero II XBox 360 X-plorer Controller.

You can buy Guitar Heros here.

You can return the Skin for a refund if you have not used it yet. I've raised a return request for you and we'll send you an email with return instructions in the next business day.

Just to warn anyone thinking of purchasing this, it is actually BRIGHT orange. Not oak coloured like it the picture. And I am talking fluorescent orange. Really ugly.

1/5
Be warned! This is a total rip off!!!!!!!!! The skin warps fast ( I barely used the phone in the two weeks that I applied it and it is already showing wear.) Their description is totally an exaggeration. The skin does not even compensate for looking good. Plus, there is this extra cutting on the top that is totally unneeded. I spoke to an Apple representative and they said that the cut should not HAVE to be done because the proximity sensor will work well even if it is covered.

Another thing is this site has NO CUSTOMER SERVICE AT ALL!!!! They will keep making excuses with you up to the point that you give up. They do this to tire you out so they don't have to rectify their issue with you. I am VERY DISAPPOINTED and will NEVER buy from this site EVER. Their low prices coincide with the low quality product and zero customer care.

iStyles responded:

We are sorry that you feel this way despite the great lengths that we went to in the explanation of the situation despite your purchase of just $6.99 (as you've repeatedly emphasised in your mails). Perhaps we are indeed charging too little and should sell them for $15 like other manufactures, while covering only the back or we are trying too hard to help as per the long explanations below, most of which were extracted from my e-mails to you.

While I do understand that you're disappointed with the "warp" and I'll assume that what you're referring to is the "wear" at the edges. Please understand that this wear will happen if you subject the edges to constant abrasion with an external object.

The product is made out of cast vinyl which has a lifespan of between 5 to 8 years, and a layer of laminate is then applied to further give the product strength and protect the artwork. This product will withstand fair usage but if the edges, for example, are constantly rubbed with a foreign object, they will start to peel over time.

Skins are not as durable as other cases, like silicone cases, but they can last a very long time if handled properly. We have customers who had Skins for years and we've also had customers who tore the Skin during the application process. The lifespan of a Skin depends on how it's handled.

With regards to other cases, do look around at products from other manufacturers, especially those of iPhone cases. You'll notice the massive opening they have just above the speaker - that's for the proximity sensor. Why is everyone cutting big holes in their products if it's not necessary, as claimed by your Apple representative?

Unless Apple updated the proximity sensor in the newer iPhones, the "Apple representative" does not know what he is talking about.

The proximity sensor is located above the speaker, where the second cutting appears. If this cutting is not made, your proximity sensor is blocked. When this happens, your screen will be completely disabled whenever you're in a call, as if the phone is place to your ear. As such, when you're in a call, you will not be able to end the call, mute the call, or do anything else other than to wait for the other party to end the call.

The complete disabling of the disabling of the phone features prompted us to cut an extra oval cutting to allow for the operation of the phone.

To better understanding the importance of this cutting, try calling a company that requires you to enter key presses in its menu selection (eg, "press 1 for english... press 1 for credit card, press 2 for banking"). You'll find that you will not be able to operate the screen as the phone still thinks that it's against your ear.

Try placing a call to someone as well. You'll not be able to "mute" or to "end call" if the cutting is blocked because the phone thinks that it's still against your ear.

Based on your explanation, you expect the screen to turn off in a call. This is complete incorrect as I tried to explain that the screen should only turn off when the phone is placed to your ear, not when it's in a call. There is a huge difference.

If the proximity sensor is still working even when you cover the opening, it just means that you either have an abnormally powerful proximity sensor or you have not covered the opening properly or you simply do not use the functions of the phone when you're in a call. The Skin is opaque and will completely block the sensor if the opening is not present.

In fact, we made the mistake of not cutting that opening for the proximity sensor when we first launched the product and it resulted in lots of problems with customers. This was subsequently corrected with the cutting as per the product you received.

I'm sorry to hear that my response was somehow perceived as 'excuses' but they are in fact explanations as to why we made a cutting for the proximity sensor. You'll find that whatever that's written above was taken directly from my mails to you. I hope that you actually tried covering the opening as you claimed in your mail instead of relying on the "wise" advise of this Apple representative.

I do apologize if the 'tone' of my e-mails might have sounded a little tense in the later e-mails as I re-explained everything. I always try to be impartial and respond professionally with sincere help, as almost everyone else who had communicated with me can testify to, but it is extremely frustrating to try so hard to help by explaining a situation only to be met with obnoxious, condescending and rude replies.

In any case, I hope that you re-read my explanations about the sensor and the wearing and we wish you all the best in your endeavors elsewhere.
