Ugly vertical cut line ruins the design. This extra line is not visible on the sample pictures.

iStyles responded:

The back Skin of the Microsoft Duo Skin sets comes in two pieces for better compatibility with the the bumper case; the bumper case comes with the phone and it is important that the Skin is compatible with this accessory.

If you're not using the bumper case, you can use the included 2nd piece for a complete look on the back; just align and paste both back Skins directly next to each other with no separation between the pieces. If applied precisely, the "line" will not be visible unless you look for it.

I bought the istyles folio composition notebook case for iPhone 12 Pro Max, had it for a month. It’s good at first but after 2 weeks the pockets to put the cards in is loose, I lost one of my important cards out of nowhere from the loose cardholder pocket, also the covers print faded and just looks horrible. Not worth the money it only lasted me a month.

It did not fit my computer, I tried trimming and then failed. But it’s also my own fault I ordered for the wrong model. Would love to have one for the right model, it was great quality.

iStyles responded:

We're sorry to hear that the Dreaming of You Dell XPS 13 9380 Skin was not the one you needed for your laptop. What's the model of your laptop? Please let us know at [email protected] and we will send you a direct link to the Skin set that will fit. (We've just sent you an email)

Needs to be more clear on what you are getting.

Your site was not very clear that i was purchasing a sticker not a case.

iStyles responded:

We're sorry to hear that the Skin was not what you thought it was but this product that you purchased is a Skin that styles your existing case.

We're sad that you found this unclear because we tried really hard to make this as clear as possible on the product page:

1) Fits: LifeProof fre Case for Apple iPhone SE, 5s
2) Summary description: "Styles your existing LifeProof iPhone SE 1st Gen, 5s fre Case"
3) Alternative image illustrates the Skin and states: Lifeproof case not included
4) Full description: describes a product that feature stunning, high-resolution graphics printed on premium grade adhesive-backed cast vinyl
5) When you click on "Add to Cart", a prominent pop-up appears stating "Please note: This is a Skin for your case. LifeProof case is not included" together with a huge image illustrating this by showing the Skin peeling off the case

Please have a look at the product page and let us know what you found unclear or if you have suggestions as to how this page can be improved.

I've raised a return request for your order. You can return the product for a refund if it was unused. Return instructions will be sent to you via email within the next business day.

iPhone SE 1st Gen cases are available here. We'll send you a discount code via email shortly so that you can get a replacement.

26 March 2020. Shipped 24 April 2020 Had I known it would take 4 weeks to ship I would have looked elsewhere. No clue or update as to the quality or even if it will arrive so asking for feedback on a product that you shipped but customers haven't seen yet is a bit pointless.

iStyles responded:

We're sorry to hear that your package has not arrived yet. Such feedback requests are not pointless because it tells us when something went wrong so that we can check and help!

Your order was received on 26 March and shipped on 27 March. During normal times, while USA to UK deliveries can happen in just 1+ week, it usually takes between 1 to 3 weeks and can sometimes take as long as 4 to 6 weeks in rare cases when there are delays in the postal services. We wish we can make the delivery happen more quickly but the actual delivery time very much depends on how quickly the postal services route the package.

These days are however not normal times. Postal services and international flights are operating at reduced capacity because of covid-19 and this may affect the delivery time. International postal mails ride on commercial flights and because most of these were grounded, it takes longer than usual for shipment to the destination country as every package/mail has to squeeze onto whatever few flights there are left.

According to the package tracking, your package left the USA on 28 March as it went through the international distribution centre. We noticed that there were severe delays for UK shipments that were shipped in the later half of March. These packages were routed through other countries because of the limited flights available and were taking longer than usual to arrive.

Shipments after in April appear to be fine - a recent review was posted by another British customer who received his package in just 3 business days (shipped 17 April, delivered 22 April).

It's also possible that Royal Mail attempted to deliver your package:

1) Please check your account page to ensure that your delivery address is correct. If you're not certain, please send us an email at [email protected] to check.

2) Try checking at the nearby post office. Your package will be rather large as it contains a MacBook Skin and it is likely that the postman could not fit it into your mailbox. He should have left a note for the collection of this package from the nearby post office but this note is sometimes misplaced. Please drop by the post office that services your area, quote USPS delivery id LJ594392315US and ask if they have a package for you. Explain that it will be a large and flat cardboard envelope that might not have fitted in your mailbox. Post offices usually keep such mails in a 'undeliverable drawer'.

If your package is not there, it means that they have not finished routing the mail to you. Such deliveries usually happen within 1 to 3 weeks but it can take longer because of covid-19 disruptions.

Please send us an email at [email protected] if you do not receive this package by 15 May. We will ship another package to you if it does not arrive by this date.

Update: Package delivered by Royal Mail on 2 May

I thought the skins for the dji fpv combo were in gloss finish as what I’ve seen on a youtube video. The drone skins on the video were glossy which made me decide to buy one. Got so excited once placed the order. Once the skins arrived, my excitement turned into dismay only to find out that the skins were just like sticker papers and far from clean, glossy and expensive looking drone wraps. Now I’m very skeptical on installing them on my drone because I might not like how it would turn out once installed whether it would look like a flying paper drone or an upgraded awesome looking one. If only my order comes with a free return I would definitely return it.

iStyles responded:

Thank you for the feedback. We used to have matte and gloss finish options many years back but this was subsequently streamlined to the default matte finish that most people preferred.

While gloss had some fans, people generally went for matte because it felt more premium and makes the design looks better. Gloss, comparatively, is reflective, and makes the design less visible when viewed outdoors. Gloss finishes on a drone is a bad idea as it makes the drone less visible in flight by reflecting the surrounding environment.

Furthermore, the design you selected looks like a spaceship and is more accurate in matte, just like how the space shuttle and fictional space fighter jets look.

As for the thickness; in the world of vinyl, thicker vinyl is cheaper. Our Skins are printed in high-resolution and full colour on premium grade adhesive-backed cast vinyl, then sealed with a protective laminate for long-lasting protection.

Cast vinyl is of notably higher quality and cost much more than the usual “thick” calendared vinyl used elsewhere. Unlike calendared vinyl, cast vinyl does not discolour, is much less prone to shrinkage over time, much thinner, can conform better to surface curves, and will last 7-9 years. Thicker vinyl will not go on well on the curved surfaces of the drone.

Give the Skins a go, we think you’ll like them!

No what I expected

iStyles responded:

We're sorry to hear that the product was not what you expected. The Skin that you ordered is an adhesive based protector that will style your Nintendo Switch Pro Controller.

Were you looking for a controller? This has to be purchased elsewhere.

I've raised a return request for the Skin that you've purchased incorrectly. We'll send you an email with return instructions in 1 business day.

I ordered a skin for my phone, but I didn't have my card set up for online usage, ok I understand that. I go back and set the card up for online transactions, wait an hour or two for it to verify, and when I go back and try using the same card again (after it's been set up for the transaction), and i get declined again. I just want my phone skin, and am willing to pay for it if I am able to use the same card to pay for it

iStyles responded:

We're sorry to hear that your prepaid card payment was declined again but this is unfortunately because of an issue with your card. Payments can get declined because of one of many reasons and your bank will be in the best position to tell you what went wrong as they declined the payment.

Perhaps, give the "PayPal" payment option on our store a go as this payment method works better with prepaid and debit cards. If the payment gets declined here, you need to talk to your bank to see what went wrong.

Sticker is too slick to start with. Then its not a wrap like im used to with phones its literally just a darn sticker. Mine was a bit smaller than the one in the picture so it didnt even go to the curves at the edge of the back cover. Im sure they will tell me it was an application error. It was not! I have put skins on all my phones for the last 5 years. No refunds for used products so order at your own risk!

iStyles responded:

We're sorry to hear that the Amazon Kindle Skin was not to your expectation. There are two types of vinyls that these Skins can be made from:

1) Conformed vinyl - this vinyl can be made into the "wrap" that you've described where the coverage can be extended to cover rounded surfaces at corners as it sticks so strongly. Such vinyl is used to make car decals where strong adhesion is necessary but when used to make a device "wrap", Skin application will be complicated as it requires a heat source to bend and stick, and the aggressive adhesive can damage the device surface when the Skin is peeled off, or at the least, leave a fair amount of adhesive residue on the device.

2) Non-conformed vinyl - this is the vinyl we use for our Skins as it has a balanced adhesive that allows for easy application (can be repositioning multiple times during application), will stick well (outlasting the lifespan of the device), and more importantly, will not damage the device surface when the Skin is removed. You do not need a heat gun for the Skin application either but the disadvantage is that this material only bends around a single axle in 3D and the Skin cannot be extended to cover rounded surfaces, such as those at the corners on the back of the Amazon Kindle.

When ordering i assume i was going to get some skin for my laptop. Not a decal or sticker for it. Its not refundable so now i stuck with it.

iStyles responded:

We're sorry to hear that the product was not what you expected but the custom sized Allow The Unfolding Laptop Skin that you purchased is an adhesive based product as described on the product page.

Skins are premium quality decals that feature stunning, high-resolution graphics printed on premium grade adhesive-backed cast vinyl. Skins look like they're part of your laptop and protects the covered surface from scratches.

More importantly, it is important never to enclose a laptop in a case. Computing devices can become hot and they need to dissipate heat during operation. If the laptop is enclosed in a case, the device will not be able to "breath" as well, resulting in higher operating temperatures that can cause reduced performance and shorten electronics lifespan.

We recommend using a Skin for styling and scratch protection - when you need to transport the laptop, put it in a padded sleeve or bag.

You've custom sized the laptop Skin and this cannot be returned as it was made and cut as per your specifications. We hope that you'll give the Skin a go as we think you'll like it.

So I've finally received my Matte solid state olive drab blackberry passport skin and I do love the texture and feel of it. Very simple to apply. However I received my skin with 2 very noticeable nicks on the back of my skin. Not happy with that all all!!! Second, I feel that this skin is only for the blackberry passport for at&t model which has rounded edges. It barely fits my passport which is not a at&t model. I also believe that the Sim card and memory card slot compartment was not in thought process while this skin was in the making. The back skin for said phone is one piece when it should 2 seperate pieces, unless the customer is supposed to cut the skin in order to fit perfectly but I highly doubt that as that would totally destroy the skin. I would love to order from this site again but now I'm not so sure.

iStyles responded:

We're sorry to hear about the compatibility issue you had with the Skin. The Solid State Olive Drab BlackBerry Passport Skin that you purchased was indeed for the AT&T model only - this model has rounded corners as shown on the product photo. This Skin will not fit the "square" BlackBerry Passport.

Your package arrived rather quickly. The package was shipped on 21 April and delivered on 24 April, which is probably a new record for a USPS First-class mail as our quoted estimated delivery time for this delivery option is 1 to 3 weeks.

The "nicks" on the Skin are absolutely not normal. Was the exterior package damaged when you received it?

Either way, given the damage on the Skin and the incompatibility with your phone, we've processed a full refund for your order. We hope that this is a satisfactory resolution.

We're glad that you liked the Skin otherwise even though it did not fit. Unfortunately, Skins for non-AT&T BlackBerry Passports are not available but we have Skins for many other devices and there's probably something else that you might want to Skin.

Very disappointed with this Kit for the Avata 2 No Instructions for the Batteries or Goggles pretty much had to wing it through the process, I found myself getting frustrated and half way through the process, I end up taking the vinyl skin off .. I don't recommend this item for the Avata 2!

iStyles responded:

We are sorry to hear that you did not complete the Skin application process. Drone Skins are fairly involved installs because of the comprehensive coverage and the complexity of the surfaces covered, and do require patience to put on; the end result is well worth the effort.

Coverage for each battery is a single Skin piece that goes onto the face of the battery. The other Skin pieces on that Skin sheet are supposed to go on the drone (eg, the pod edges) as per the install guide.

DJI Avata 2 Battery Skin coverage
Installation guides are provided for the Avata 2 Skin sets, but the other kits such as the Goggles should be pretty straightforward to get on.
DJI Goggles 3 front coverage
DJI Goggles 3 bottom coverage
As per our correspondence, we will be shipping you a replacement Solid State White DJI Avata 2 Skin so that you can give this another go. We hope that the new set works better for you!

I was sent the wrong skin, was told to contact someone else for a return, i did that, never heard back, said heck with it, would not use again.

iStyles responded:

We're sorry to hear that the Skin was not what you wanted. The product that you purchased was a vibrant pink Skin for the DJI Phantom 3.

Why was the Skin wrong? Were you looking for a Skin for another DJI drone?

We never received your contact email. Who did you contact?

We have sent you an email regarding this issue as we would like to fix it for you.

I bought two controller skins, a Kinect skin and an Xbox one skin. They don't line up the way they're supposed to... On the controller the link button is covered and parts of the controller aren't covered. The same things for the Xbox and kinect. I paid good money for all of these for Christmas and they don't even fit like they're supposed to. It's really annoying.

iStyles responded:

We're sorry to hear that you did not like the coverage of the Xbox One and Controller Skins. These Skins will fit but they will not completely enclose your Xbox and controllers. The Skin coverage is shown on our product photos (for example at Break-Up Xbox One Skin and Break-Up Xbox One Controller Skin).

More comprehensive coverage is available for some Skin sets depending on the physical layout of the device, but the Skin cannot wrap around the rounded corners of the controller and the air vents of the console cannot be covered for the console to function properly. The Xbox One and Controller Skin sets were designed to give the console and controller a distinctive style and we hope that the recipient was happy with his/her gift.

The top Skin for the controller should have a cutout for the link button, as shown on the template. Was this cutout not included on both of your controller Skins? Can you send digital photos showing this area (without the hole) to [email protected] ?

Pretty but neoprene cover for iPad Air 2 way to big. Slides around in case, should be smaller to snug fit iPad Air 2.

iStyles responded:

Thank you for the review. The tablet Sleeves were designed to fit tablets in general and there will be a little give depending on the tablet. The large tablet Sleeve size that you have has an inner size of 8.75"(width) x 10.75"(height) - there is indeed a little more space inside with an iPad but the tablet fits, is protected in the Sleeve and the Sleeve design matches your iPad Air 2 Skin. We're glad that you find the Sleeve design pretty and hope that you'll eventually like the Sleeve more!

iStyles is great, except for one thing - they use USPS to ship orders. In my case, "two-day priority" shipment took more than a week to arrive - the order addressed to a Virginia address came to Pennsylvania and then was diverted to Alabama (??) before making its way to Virginia. As a result, the package missed my kid's birthday and obviously didn't have the effect it was meant to. iStyles should probably drop USPS and use commercial carriers (without 50% premium to the item price). If you order from iStyles, make sure you do so at least two-three weeks in advance - it also takes some time to make an item before it ships.

iStyles responded:

We're sorry to hear that the package missed your kid's birthday.

We have different shipping options available, ranging from USPS First-class that starts from just $2 but takes between 1 to 3 weeks for delivery, to UPS Express that takes just 1 business day for delivery but can be costly (because they are a private courier service). The USPS Priority shipping option that you selected is a good compromise between the two as it only cost a few dollars more than First-class but they're still relatively quick. Ignore the "2-day" claim on USPS' website as that is misleading and we never advertise it as such - USPS Priority usually takes between 3 to 5 business days for delivery and the "estimated shipping date" that we quote at checkout on our site reflects this turnaround time.

1 to 2 business days are indeed required for the production of an order as all Skins and Cases are freshly baked and ship directly from the production facility. Your order was received on Thursday night (2 April), the warehouse was close over the weekend, the package was shipped on Monday morning (6 April) and delivered on the Monday after (13 April). This is within the estimated delivery time quoted when you checked out. If you placed the order a day earlier (on Wednesday), you probably would have avoided hitting both weekends - the package would have shipped on Friday and would have been delivered between 8 to 10 April.

We're sorry that the package did not make it for your kid's birthday but I hope that he still likes his new MacBook Air Skin.

Nice Website, Crummy Product. It was hard to put on and looks crappy. you can't take it off to adjust it because it stretches. It's also too small and the edges aren't covered.

iStyles responded:

Thank you for the feedback. We're sorry to hear that you had problems with the Skin application. Skins are sturdy and will usually outlast the device if applied properly but they can stretch if pulled too hard during the application process. The inner MacBook Skins are more difficult to apply as you've experienced because of their large size and thin stripes, but the final result will be well worth the effort. The trick is simply not to press the Skin down until you are happy with the alignment, and to peel off gently if you need to reposition, especially so at the thin Skin areas (such as those around the trackpad).

We can make another Skin for you at no charge and you just have to cover the shipping charge to get this new Skin to you. Let us know if this is what you want and we'll get this set up. We've sent you an email regarding this matter.

I had to pay about twice as much for shipping & VAT as I paid for the product itself – so for international customers it’s just not worth it. Very nice customer service though (hence 2 stars instead of 1).

iStyles responded:

Thank you for the review. We're sorry to hear about the import duties levied at the German customs for your Amazon Kindle Skin.

Our products are made in the USA and ship freshly made directly from the production facility - this is how we can offer such a large collection of designs with support for so many devices. We do not believe that there's anything similar or at the same quality level in the EU.

Import customs charge is effectively "VAT" and is already factored into the pricing of any other product that you purchase within Germany. Products that are sold on our web store do not include this charge - we only bill for the cost of the product and the shipping cost. VAT is for the "consumption of goods and services within a country" and is levied by the customs office of some (but not all) countries when the package is imported. It looks like they tagged on some administrative charge or there's a minimum customs charge amount per package in Germany as they billed you 9 euros for an item that cost only 13.50 euros. We suspect that if you have multiple Kindle Skins in the same package, it may still cost the same 9 euros at the customs.

We bill shipping at its cost price and our shipping quote is subsidised for multi-product orders. For example, it cost about 14.50 euros to ship one Kindle Skin to an international destination. You'll still pay only 14.50 euros to ship 10 Kindle Skins to the same destination (even though it'll cost us more to ship). Given the costly international postal charges, it'll be more worth it to ship multiple items in the same order rather than a single one. If you only need one item, one way to save will be to make a consolidated purchase with friends/family and share out the ship cost.

It may be possible for the import charge to be much less if paid for online. For example in France, if the import charge is paid online before the package arrives, the total cost is about half (~6 euros) of what the postman charges (~12+ euros) if he collects payment at the time of delivery instead.

We're sorry that this did not work out, but we're glad to hear that you had a good interaction with our customer service. Thank you for the 2 stars (instead of 1) !

First off the finish on the macbook pro retina decal is very pixelated and doesn't fit well around the edges of my laptop or around the speakers. I found it to be very difficult to apply without stretching the vinyl. Even the free background was pixelated and less-than-standard definition. Not worth $30+ especially now that its worthless. Wasted time and money. :/

iStyles responded:

We're sorry to hear that you had problems with the application. The MacBook Skins are more difficult to apply because of the large size and layout but the end result is usually well worth the effort.

The "Black Woodgrain" pattern of your Skin was designed to mimic the look of black woodgrain and there is unfortunately a certain level of fuzziness to achieve this effect.

We can get a replacement Skin (of another design) made for you at no charge and you just have to cover the shipping cost to get it to you. If you would like to go for this replacement, please contact us at [email protected]

Update: As per our correspondence, we will be reshipping the same design to you. We're glad that you liked the Skin after all and assume that your initial dissatisfaction was because the Skin was damaged during the application process. We hope that the new Skin will work better for you.

While iStyles have a good customer support service and great delivery speed, I'm obliged to give only 2-stars for the following reasons:

1. The two Skins I had ordered for my Sony Reader and 3DS XL, while very pretty, were not as good as shown on the website. Their colors are much darker, with a lower image quality/resolution.

2. They are also very, very difficult to apply and they can be scrapped very easily. I scrapped mine, so I asked for a replacement and I got them again.

3. Those Skins leave a strong, old plastic-like odor on the device they are put on as soon as you remove them. I had to leave my Sony device at ’free air’ for one full day to remove the odor. Not very pleasant.

4. If you are carrying your device in a hard case for protection, like the book-style case for the Sony Reader, the skins will peel and get scrapped will the constant removal/put back the device in.

In the end, I did not keep my replacement Skins. The one for my Sony Reader was peel off my device in less than a day (explained in #4), and the other, for my 3DS XL, were too difficult to put on without scrapping it again. That’s why I’m leaving only 2-stars for iStyles and furthermore I do not recommend it. Beside, you cannot get refunded, so I lost some $$$ in all of this.

iStyles responded:

Thank you for the feedback. We're glad that you liked the service but sorry to hear that it did not work out for you in the end despite the free replacement of Skins that were damaged during the Skin application process.

The Skins have a special weaved adhesive that allow for easy repositioning and bubble free application. However, the actual application mileage varies from person to person and it can indeed take a little more effort for some devices depending on the layout. The final result will be well worth the effort. It is important that the device is well cleaned prior to application. If applied properly and subject to normal wear and tear, a Skin will last for years.

It is indeed possible that the Skins had a "freshly baked" smell as the products were made on demand, they were packed and shipped immediately after production, and you received yours just a week after they were made. We've not had complaints of "odor" from other customers but this "smell" will go away rather quickly as you've experienced.

We are just as disappointed as you are that it did not work out. Thank you for stopping by anyway.
