Which Kobo do I have?

Introduction

The Kobo eReader was first released in 2010 to challenge the more established e-book readers at that time. At $149, it was the lowest priced 6-inch e-book reader in the USA and came with Kobo’s e-book software and 100 classic books.

Kobo is an anagram of 'booK' - over the years, Kobo established a loyal fan base with its competitively priced eReaders that were generally more affordable at the high-end than Kindle's equivalents, had more advanced technical features (such as color E Ink), support for various file formats, a decently strong and growing ebook store that contains a wide range of international and indie titles, OverDrive functionality for public library books, and Pocket read it later integration.

As a Kobo user, you may want to make your beloved eReader even more amazing by styling it. Identifying your Kobo model is an important step in the determination of which Skin or case it is compatible with.

Identifying your Kobo model correctly is a simple task if you know where to look.

Find your Kobo model name and number

3. About (your Kobo model name is shown here)
4. Look for your model name and model number on the About screen

You can also identify your Kobo model by comparing the Kobo's model number with our Kobo database.

Find your Kobo model number

The Kobo model number looks something like Nxxxx where "xxxx" is a sequence of numbers and "N" is an alphabet. This model number is printed either behind or on the side every Kobo and can be used to determine the model name of your Kobo by searching our Kobo database.

4. The model number will be shown (N782 in this case)
