The skin was a little too big for the laptop, didn't fit perfectly had to cut it but the color was great.

Are you using the newer Samsung Chromebook Plus XE521QAB that was released this year? The correct Skin for this model should be the one here.

Most phone Skin sets for the back of phones are a single piece that only covers the flat surface on the back of the phone and does not extend to the side. The Essential phone Skin set however has extended coverage that wraps to the sides and all around the corners because it was possible to do so given the flat nature of the sides. However, though the sides are covered, there has to be a little "give" at the corners to allow for easier application and to ensure that the Skin stays down.

You'll probably be able to cover the corners more completely with a conformed vinyl as this material can be wrapped around 3D corners when a heat source is applied and it sticks strongly. Conformed vinyl is a good material for specific applications where you require strong adhesion, such as when wrapping cars, but the danger of such aggressive adhesive when used on electronic Skins is that you can potentially damage the surface when the vinyl is peeled off because it sticks so strongly.

Our non-conformed vinyl has a more balanced adhesive that allows for easy application (where you can reposition multiple times during the application process), will stick well (usually outlasting the lifespan of the device) and more importantly, will not damage the device surface when the Skin is removed. You do not need a heat gun or hair dryer for the Skin application either but the disadvantage is that this material only bends around a single axle in 3D and there is only that much that can be done to cover corners.

The Essential Skin set corners should look like what you see on the product page of the product you purchased. The slight gaps in the corners are shown on the main product photo. Additional photos on the page at Photo 1 and Photo 2 shows how the corners look like after proper Skin application. It's not an absolutely perfect coverage at the corners but this is as complete as it gets without using an adhesive that can potentially damage the device.

I love the idea and even the quality was very nice. However it was kind of hard to see where the cut outs were to figure out how to put them on. Maybe I'm just not that smart lol but I wasn't able to use the skin for the ear bud part because I couldn't figure out how to get them on. I still love the skin on my case but some kind of instructions would be EXTREMELY helpful for people like me :)

The AirPods Skin pieces are positioned in the way that they should line up on the actual device but they can indeed be a little tricky to put on because there're several small pieces. We'll see how this presentation can be made clearer. Thank you for the feedback.

Skin does not fit the device well. The cutouts are fine, but the skin is too narrow to reach the sides of the tablet.

Ordering was easy got it in a acceptable amount of time but had an UNAUTHORIZED charge of .34 on my card for "International Transaction Fee" when was shipped in the US. Won't order again.

You've selected the "Credit Card" payment option and this is not compatible with your Visa debit card. The next "PayPal, Other Credit or Debit Card" payment option will work better with your debit card and not result in any bank levied fees.

We make our products and ship directly from a US production facility but our company is registered in Singapore. Some debit cards such as yours unfortunately levy a fee when used to pay to an international merchant but if select "PayPal", you will avoid such fees.

We've processed a goodwill refund of $0.34 on your payment to cover this fee for you. I hope this helps.

I bought a MacBook Pro 13" NON-Retina skin for my late 2011 MacBook Pro 13". The skin description states that it would fit all 13" non-retina MacBook Pros. However, the skin did not fit edge to edge- it was too small. In fact, it left almost a centimeter of exposed case all around its perimeter. It looks awful that way- very ill fitted- so I just threw it out. In addition, I purchased the exterior only skin expecting both a top and bottom skin to cover the exterior of my MacBook, but instead i received only the top skin. The item descriptions seem extremely misleading.

Edit: I've increased my rating to 3 stars for the exceptional customer service. I wasn't expecting a response nor a refund, but both occurred promptly which I appreciate. Thank you to iStyles for taking the time to read and respond to my feedback as well as offering me a refund.

We're sorry to hear that you were not happy with the Skin. The "Outer Skin only" (not "Skins") option for the White Marble MacBook Pro 13" Skin that you purchased only comes with the lid Skin. The bottom of the MacBook Pro 13" gets hot during operation and it is important to allow this surface to breath. This bottom area is rarely seen as it is against the table and it's protected from scratches by its rubber feet.

The large lid Skins are not cut to fit absolutely precisely with zero tolerance. There're cut very slightly smaller (1 to 2 mm all around) to allow for slight stretching during the application. The Skin has to be centered on the lid (around the Apple logo) and if applied without stretching, will result in a silver "frame" of the artwork. If the Skins are cut precisely to the lid size, most people will end up with Skin edges that overhang the edge. A slightly smaller cut allows for a more "forgiving" Skin application. In fact, if you're careful, you can very gently stretch the whole piece into place for a perfect fit during the Skin application, but it's easiest to simply centre it.

We want our customers to be happy with the products and we're sorry to hear that you were not. We've processed a full refund for your order. I hope that this is an acceptable resolution.

Styling was great. Back piece fit perfectly. Front piece did not fit - tried 6 ways from Sunday, but no success. I have never had this problem applying skins on other devices.

The Skin that you purchased was designed for the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5-inch SM-T800NT. Is this the model of your tablet or are you using any other variant?

In what way did the front Skin not fit? Was it too large or was the cutting completely different? If the Skin was too large, it is possible that you might have accidentally stretched the Skin during the application process. Can you try pasting this front Skin back onto the backing card? If the Skin is bigger than the hole that it was peeled off from, it verifies that the Skin was stretched. If the Skin was stretched, we can make another one for you to give it another go at no charge and you just have to cover the shipping cost to get the new piece to you. Please let us know if you would like to get this replacement order set up.

I like the design and the skin and all but it is so difficult to put on! The skin gets stretched out and bent just by when you take it off the paper. It wasnt really worth $11. I dont think ill buy anymore skins. Sorry.

Hi guys

Just got my skin.

it nice

but it have few cons

1. it too rubbery. When you try to detach it it can get stretched. I recommend you to use more steady materials

2. Color patter is ok, but can be bit less pink

3. it can be more open. especially on metal insertion but all in all it good mate skin thanks

Thank you for the feedback. We're sorry to hear about what happened to your Skin. The Skins are made from high quality cast vinyl and are generally rather sturdy, but they can get stretched (especially so at the thinner stripes) if they are pulled with excessive force. Standard calendared vinyl (cheaper) will be a little more sturdy but standard vinyl is much thicker (not aesthetically pleasing, will cause slight bulk), does not conform well to curved surfaces, shrinks over time, is more prone to displacement at the edges and is less resistant to heat. More information is available here.

The cast vinyl used for our Skins results in a much better product and the laminate that protects the artwork strengthens the overall material but care must still be taken during the application process. We will be sending you a replacement for you to give it another try. We hope that the new set works better for you!
