The Skin was designed not to touch the edges on purpose as this ensures the longitivtiy of the Skin. Skins that are cut such that they reach the edges are much harder to apply as there is no margin for error and they may not stay on properly for long - such Skin edges will overhang if not applied with absolute robotic precision, will get caught up with use over time and are more likely to get lifted. This damages the Skin.
There is supposed to be a very tiny gap between each Skin piece and the edge of the surface; the Skin is to be applied such that the "gap" is equal all around the Skin piece (Skin centered on the surface). This gap is hardly visible on a design like EXO Pioneer where it's almost black on black.

iStyles/5Thought these vinyl decals kraken for Xbox series x and controller vinyl really amazing quality and looks awesome . I Felt the controller very fiddly and I made some incisions on the vinyl to help it to sit better . May be I was doing it a little wrong . There was incisions in the handle decals which was useful . But now I’ve put it on the Xbox and controller their brilliant and different . I don’t have to look a a big black monolith any more . Now a piece of art . Could I suggest you give the customer option to download an image after purchase for our Xbox series x/s so we can make it match the skin . As I would have loved that very much . The premium cast vinyl used for the Skins allows the material to bend easily around a single axle surface but things get a little more complicated with rounded 3D surfaces; it's like trying to gift wrap a ball with paper. The material is however flexible enough to go on slightly rounded surfaces but when it's not possible to do so, we make incisions to help. Extra incisions are not necessary for the front controller Skin as the Skin can be gently massaged into place even though this area is rounded, but we're glad you made it work.

This damages the Skin. Imagine a perfectly fitting Skin with corners/edges that are slightly lifted and has a whole bunch of lint and hair sticking to them.
There will be a very tiny gap in between the Skin pieces but the benefits outweigh the disadvantages. The Xbox still look gorgeous and we're glad that you like it!

We are sorry to hear that you did not like the Solid State Black Xbox One X Skin set - this has a simple 5 piece flat surface Skin coverage where every piece is basically a rectangular cut and the pieces will not overlap.
As this recent order is your 2nd purchase from us, we assume that your previous order for a Patriotic Xbox 360 S Skin 7 months ago went well?
The Skin application process is similar and the Xbox One X Skin should actually be a little easier to put on because the surfaces are flat. Did you stretch the Skin pieces by accident during the application process? If stretched, the Skin will be longer than it was and this will explain the overlap.

Considering This site offers 'free' and 'world wide' shipping and avoids mentioning this will come with additional costs for places like the UK.
This is the first time I have encountered such an issue with any orders, from overseas or otherwise.iStyles responded:
We're sorry to hear that you had to pay an import fee. This charge is effectively "VAT" and is already factored into the pricing of any other product that you purchase within the UK.
Products that are sold on our web store do not include this charge. This VAT is for the "consumption of goods and services within a country" and is levied by the customs office of the country when the package is imported, if the package is above a certain value.
Given the size/weight of your package as the order was more than £60, the customs office probably took note and applied a charge. Your import VAT charge is £6.52 according to Royal Mail.
The UK is the only country that is checking postal mail imports to levy import tax and even then, we rarely receive feedback of taxes incurred from British customers as most packages fall below the minimum amount. We do state that prices quoted are before tax for UK destinations (at checkout).
You did indeed enjoy free shipping (worth $23.25) and a promotional discount (worth $27.48) on your order. Nobody likes taxes but just take it that part of these savings has now gone towards nation building.

This is my third haul with iStyles, and I am as pleased with round 3 as I was with my first. As one of those "Ooo shiny things!" people, having my tech looking shiny and pretty is a nice touch to stuff that is otherwise pretty boring.
The designs are always impressive, the quality always sharp and clear, the adhesive always strong and allows a degree of re-fixability. Correspondence is friendly and professional and I particularly like the returning customer discount! (Which will be seeing use)
For all you fellow perfectionists in particular, be warned that once in place it is fairly final...trying to remove and re-apply skins once secured down just ruins them, so make sure you're completely happy with positioning before going for the final push so to speak!
But once in place, these skins are a wonderful touch-up and their durability/longevity makes them well worth the patience of perfect application. I'm still using skins from my first run back around 2012 and they're still just like new! Fab stuff *thumbs up*

I was looking for something to but over my boring normal black Xbox one remote controller. This was the best choice for a couple of reasons. One I got the American flag with an eagle on it and it looks awesome on my controller. Two it took about 3 days to arrive at my house which very quick considering it said I would have to wait 2 weeks. Lastly it was very cheap and very easy to put on my remote. I am Very happy with this decision.

On the controller the link button is covered and parts of the controller aren't covered. The same things for the Xbox and kinect. The Skin coverage is shown on our product photos (for example at Break-Up Xbox One Skin and Break-Up Xbox One Controller Skin).
More comprehensive coverage is available for some Skin sets depending on the physical layout of the device, but the Skin cannot wrap around the rounded corners of the controller and the air vents of the console cannot be covered for the console to function properly. The Xbox One and Controller Skin sets were designed to give the console and controller a distinctive style and we hope that the recipient was happy with his/her gift.
The top Skin for the controller should have a cutout for the link button, as shown on the template. Was this cutout not included on both of your controller Skins? Can you send digital photos showing this area (without the hole) to [email protected] ?

I ordered my skins on Monday and received my order on Thursday! The skins look great, better than the pictures they show on the website. Matte finish stickers are the best quality compared to the gloss but that can be a matter of preference. I will definitely be shopping through istyles.com again!

The Xbox Controller Skin requires many "holes" but we try to position the design of Striped Bass Microsoft Xbox One Controller Skin in the best possible way. Most of the fishes in this design kept their heads.

iStyles/5I purchased skins for a X Box 360, X Box Connect, Wii, Wii Controllers and Controllers for the X Box. All of these were "Satin Black" so as to cover the original "white plastic" that they were made from. I simply wanted to "hide" them in my audio cabinet. Now I have BLACK AND WHITE system items behind the glass. They did not cover the entire item, thus leaving white to show. A "skin" covers, it does not "patch" in spots.
