Which MacBook do I have?

Introduction

The MacBook is one of Apple's most important device line-up and frequently the "world's top-selling line of premium laptops". MacBooks were first released in 2006 when Apple transited from PowerPC to Intel processors, replaced their predecessors iBooks and PowerBooks, and consist of three distinct series: MacBook, MacBook Air, and MacBook Pro.

Many MacBook models were released over the years; while the exterior form has mostly been consistent, there are minute physical differences between them. Identifying your MacBook model is an important step in the determination of which Skin or case it is compatible with.
